University of St. Gallen
The University of St. Gallen (HSG) is a research university located in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Established in 1898, it is specialized in the fields of business administration, economics, law, and international affairs. According to the Financial Times, the University of St. Gallen ranks 7th among business schools in Europe and is one of the leading business schools in the world.
The Design Thinking Course at HSG is affiliated with the Institute of Information Management and is open for our Master Students in “Business Innovation” and “Management, Organization Studies and Cultural Theory”.
The University of St.Gallen has applied Design Thin¬king for the first time in 2005 in cooperation with Stanford University. Since then the University has successfully run over 40 international projects with academic partners like Aalto University, HPI, KIT or Tongji University. The main working field in St. Gallen covers the service and business model innovation sector.
Our mission is to enable new perspectives for sustainable business development by applying Stanford’s pioneered ME310 human-centered innovation process based on customer needs and rapid prototyping.
